TONGUES Volume I: Book Tour and a Trailer

So Tongues Volume I is almost here – March 11th, only a month away. Here’s an animated trailer, below, that the good folks at Pantheon were kind enough to put together for the book. Please share it with anyone you think might be interested. And below that are TOUR DATES. I’m going to be in eight cities through the second half of March. I’m super excited to share this story, finally, with the wider world. We’re on the way.

Here are those dates, and a little more info below about art shows at the Chicago and Philadelphia stops.

I’ll be doing conversations with local luminaries at many of these events, and two of them – Chicago and Philadelphia – will also feature art shows. I’m doing a pretty extensive show of original art from Tongues, plus prints, accordion books and a few other items in Philadelphia at Partners and Son, which I’m super excited about. And at Lula Cafe in Chicago I am putting together a group show of giant-sized prints of several of my favorite cartoonists’ original artwork. It’s called Extra Large and Out of Context. So far I can announce work by Charles Burns, Geneviève Castrée, Aidan Koch, Kevin Huizenga, Chris Ware, CF, and Jack Kirby. No that’s not a typo. Jack Kirby. Also myself. And I’m still waiting for confirmation and work from a couple of other incredibly talented people. Very excited. Stay tuned.
