I can no longer say I've never used the gradient tool
Josh Bayer asked me to do a cover for one of a new line of over-the-top, campy and fever-dreamy superhero comics he's editing at Fantagraphics. It's called All Time Comics, and one of the books is about a Superman-style character called Atlas. The story is, like I said bananas. The art is by Ben Marra and Matt Rota and is truly inspired. And I got to pretend I was Alan Davis doing a Marvelman cover. Thanks to Josh and Jason Miles for roping me in.
